Leadership Consulting

People are still your most important asset, which means leadership is paramount.

How we can help

We’ll ensure that you focus on your people

The full spectrum of leadership.

Leadership starts at the top but doesn’t end there. Effective leadership needs to be practiced at all levels of your organization all the way down to entry level employees. To do this you have to establish a culture conducive to leadership, keep your employees engaged, manage change effectively, design your organization to meet your objectives, increase team performance, and develop leadership.

Culture

We can help you assess your current culture, implement change, develop values for leaders and employees to embody, and ingrain your new culture into the fabric of your organization. If culture isn’t managed properly, it can take on a life of its own. Sometimes that’s not a bad thing, but most of the time it is. You need to choose the type of culture that best exemplifies what you want your organization to be, and most importantly, get by in from your staff.

Employee Engagement

Younger generations of employees are bringing new strengths to organizations, from data management to more digital prowess, but they can also be more difficult to keep engaged. Contemporary leaders need to treat employees like micro-entrepreneurs – give people a seat at the table, and a sense of ownership over the work that they do. People need to feel valued to stay motivated. Managers need to develop their leadership skills to keep staff motivated and avoid “quiet quitting.” We can show you how.

Change Management

Companies that don’t evolve and change to meet new market conditions, demographics, societal expectations, and social norms die – its as simple as that. Your organization needs to be able to adapt and change. The concept sounds simple enough but in practice this can be extremely difficult. To do this effectively, leaders need to be able to listen to a diverse spectrum of voices, clearly articulate goals, engage employees from the beginning, empower lower level leaders to make decisions, and maintain constant effective communication.

Organizational Design

As your organization begins to grow, it can start to stumble if the organizational design doesn’t change to accommodate increased operations. Your organizational design needs to reflect the scope, aim, and size of your organization. We help conduct a thorough evaluation of your current design, and recommend changes where necessary, and help you implement those changes.

Leadership Development

Every leader has strengths, weaknesses, gaps, and blind spots. Even the best of us have weaknesses that need to be overcome. The most important principle of leadership is leadership by example. By developing your leadership skills and addressing your own weaknesses, you are leading by example - you want your staff to emulate your behavior and address their own weaknesses too. This is extremely important. Too many workplaces foster a culture of blame, and avoidance of accountability. Leaders need to take the first step by addressing their own weaknesses, and more importantly, doing it with transparency. Your staff need to see that you accept responsibility for your own shortcomings and seek to improve them. They need to see that its ok to make mistakes, talk about them openly as a team, and develop solutions. Developing your own skills is the best way to foster this type of collaborative atmosphere.

Team Performance

Teamwork is essential for every organization. No matter how talented you are, one person cannot shoulder everything alone. This leads to fatigue, burn out, and bitterness. As a leader you need to foster a team-based atmosphere and train your staff to work effectively together as a team. Leaders often send their employees for new education and training. This type of individual training is important and should continue, but its not enough by itself. You need to be able to conduct collective training to teach your staff how to work together as a team to meet their objectives. Collective training isn’t a one-shot deal. This is something that needs to happen on a regular basis and needs to be re-developed for each new project. The way your team operates will change from one assignment to another. We can help you stay on top of this.
